SACA is an academic-oriented knowledge platform dedicated primarily to the study of Chinese art before the Song dynasty, with a focus on ceramics and archaeological objects and their development within the broader East Asian artistic context. Selected Ming and Qing works closely related to earlier artistic systems are also addressed where relevant. In addition to issues of form, glaze, technique, and chronology, the platform treats modern collecting histories, dealer networks, and the historical repositioning of ancient Chinese art within the international auction market as integral components of scholarly interpretation.Grounded in museum collections, well-documented provenances, and publicly recorded auction data, artsaca.com adopts a research- and documentation-based approach rather than a journalistic or commercial one, with the aim of providing a sustainable and citable framework for the study of Chinese ancient art.
SACA was founded in Hong Kong in 2018. Its founder, Allen Wang (Wang Qiusheng), has been engaged in the study and collection of Chinese ancient art for many years and is a regular contributor to Caixin, where he writes a dedicated column on art auctions and market analysis, alongside a sustained series of essays based on his personal collection.

Since 2018, SACA has operated independently, focusing exclusively on pre-Song Chinese art. We avoid trends and surface reporting, drawing only on museum collections, primary sources, auction records, and documented scholarship to produce original research; in an age of information overload, we filter noise, verify provenance, and map collecting histories and market contexts—delivering reliable, citable frameworks that save you months of scattered inquiry. Your recurring support sustains this independent work.
