Gold artifact with intricate swirling patterns of animals on a gray background, reflecting a shiny and ornate design.

Gold ornaments of this type from the late Warring States to Han period are exceedingly rare. Only a handful of examples are preserved in major institutional collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Shanghai Museum.

Among private collections, the group of Qin-dynasty gold ornaments in the famed Uldry Collection in Switzerland is particularly renowned. For further study, one may refer to the article by Dr. Liu Yang of the Minneapolis Institute of Art, published by the Society for Ancient Chinese Art (SACA), which provides in-depth analysis of comparable material.
