略經修補，當時雖流拍，但放眼過去六年，此類拍品依然十分罕見。以當時4000-6000英鎊的估價來看，完全是一個值得收藏的選擇。

Though it had received minor repairs and was unsold at the time of the auction, such examples have proven exceptionally rare over the subsequent six years. With its original estimate of £4,000–£6,000, it represented a highly collectible opportunity at that price level.

the elegant pear-shaped body rising to a narrow neck below a pinched 'phoenix-head' mouth rim, the shoulders with a curved double strap handle, covered overall in a white slip and irregular splashes of green

Condition Report

The ewer has areas of over-painting to the green glaze, to one side of the body covering an area circa 7x6cm., to the other side a circular section of circa 3x3cm, to the front of the neck extending down from the spout circa 4x1cm, restoration to the front edge of the spout, over-painting to the left side pinched ear section and to the band at the top of the handle.

可見幾處補繪，於器身一側（約7x6公分）、另一側（約3x3公分）、壺嘴下方（4x1公分）、壺嘴邊沿及把手上方可見。壺嘴尖端另經修補。

The dating of this lot is consistent with the result of a thermoluminescence test, C-Link Research & Development Ltd., no. 8974YL07.
