此器為六瓣葵口式，器形規整秀雅，侈口深壁，外壁飾有雙道弦紋凸棱，通體施以均勻淡雅的青釉，釉色瑩潤凝靜，呈現典型南宋龍泉窯器物之雅致氣韻。

保存狀況：整體品相良好，唯足緣一處約 7 x 2 毫米之小缺，器內釉面有輕微劃痕與表面磨損。

• 台北國立故宮博物院亦藏一例尺寸較小、並施有開片釉之同形器，著錄於《故宮藏宋代瓷器圖錄：龍泉窯・哥窯及其他》，台北，1974年，彩圖78。

此類六瓣葵口式青釉洗，多數尺寸精巧，為文人案頭賞玩與調墨之用，尤為日本茶人視為平水指之上品。Hultmark 傳承來源亦增添歐洲早期收藏南宋青瓷的重要線索。

Condition

This is in good condition, but has a small (7mm by 2mm) chip to the footrim and the interior has some scratches and surface wear to the glaze.

A related brushwasher, but of larger proportions, in the Nakamura Kinenkan Museum, Kanazawa, is illustrated in Sekai toji zenshu, vol. 12, Tokyo, 1977, pl. 78; a smaller example covered in a crackled glaze, in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, is published in the Illustrated Catalogue of Sung Dynasty Porcelain in the National Palace Museum.
