Carved camel figurine made of light stone stands on a dark background, showcasing smooth texture and subtle brown patterns.

Camels from the Han dynasty are extremely rare, and examples carved from yellow jade are even more precious. This jade camel is vividly rendered with a poised and lifelike stance, exemplifying the naturalistic and realistic approach to animal figures seen in jade carvings from the Han dynasty or later. It was sold in 2023 for USD 126,000, approximately RMB 920,000.
