拍賣筆記 vol.392 英國小拍：29萬港元售出，北齊淡黃釉蓮瓣紋四系罐 - A Chinese Pale Yellow Glaze Lotus Jar with Four Lugs, Northen Qi dynasty, Sold for £27,720

北齊概念大熱，尺寸僅13.5cm高的淡黃釉蓮花罐拍出29萬港元。品相上有小瑕疵，一耳有脫落修復，局部有釉面鉛化脫釉。此類器物在常盤山文庫《北齊陶瓷》一書發表後大熱。

The robustly potted ovoid jar rises from a short footring to broad shoulders, then tapers to a short cylindrical neck. The shoulder is decorated with a band of sharply carved, overlapping lotus-petal lappets. Four square-section loop handles (lugs) are applied symmetrically on the shoulder, arching upward. The vessel is covered overall with a translucent pale yellow glaze, subtly tinged with greenish undertones in the recesses — a classic Northern Qi glaze tone resulting from iron and titanium impurities in the wood-ash fluxed glaze.
