Impressive in scale, with clear and impeccable provenance. However, it has been held for less than four years since 2022 before being consigned to auction — a relatively short holding period. Eskeanzi previously noted that the ideal “golden cycle” for such works should be seven years or longer. In today’s Chinese art market, dealers significantly outnumber genuine collectors, and cross-market arbitrage or short-term flipping for profit has become increasingly common.
