The provenance is impeccable and crystal-clear: it passed through the hands of John Berwald, a dealer renowned for his exceptional eye for archaic Chinese art, then through the eminent scholar-dealer J.J. Lally & Co., before entering the prestigious Ten Views of Lingbi Rock Retreat (Shí Miàn Língbì Shān Jū) Collection in North America. Although modest in size at just 10.8 cm, its brilliant Tang sancai blue-glazed decoration is widely admired and deeply appreciated by connoisseurs. At HKD 500,000, it still offers significant upside potential for future appreciation.
