拍賣筆記 vol.289 蘇富比香港:伊勢彥信,444.5萬售出,元青花趕珠雲龍紋高足盃 - Sotheby’s Ise Sale, A Blue And White 'Dragon' Stem Cup, Yuan Dynasty, Sold for 4.445m HKD

ree

Within the hierarchy of Yuan blue-and-white stem cups, the present Ise Collection ‘dragon’ stem cup stands at the upper end of the spectrum. Measuring an impressive h. 11.5 cm, and supported by a seventy-year chain of major exhibitions—from the 1956 Japan Ceramic Society show to the Musée Guimet in Paris (2017)—it represents a fully formed, museum-grade narrative specimen.

Compared with the recently sold Okada Museum cup (HKD 3.556 million), the Ise example exceeds it in scale, presence, and accumulative scholarship, resulting in its HKD 4.445 million price at Sotheby’s Hong Kong in September 2025. Positioned below only the benchmark Junkunc cup, yet distinctly above the more compact Okada example, the Ise stem cup illustrates with precision how the market articulates value in this specialised category: through size, provenance depth, and authoritative publication history. In this season’s sales, the Ise cup thus anchors the top tier of Yuan stem cups, reaffirming the structured hierarchy that defines this narrow but highly studied field.
