這件長頸瓶的製作過程包括在器物表面施以白化粧（即將白土或白泥等塗於表面），然後用鐵畫技法描繪圖案，最後掛上透明釉並進行燒製。

瓶身兩面均描繪了牡丹花，筆觸生動流暢，並在花朵周圍線刻一些細節。牡丹花的上方有葉片，枝葉沿著瓶頸延伸，這種花卉裝飾的方式常見於口部微反的這類長頸瓶。這件作品的造型端正，精緻小巧，是作為花瓶的典型樣式。

This long-neck vase was made by first applying a white slip (a thin coating of white clay or slip on the surface), then painting the design with iron-based pigments, and finally covering the entire piece with a transparent glaze before firing. The vase features lively, flowing brushwork depicting peony flowers on both sides of the vessel, with additional incised lines accentuating key areas. The peony flowers are adorned with leaves, and the branches and leaves extend up the neck of the vase, a characteristic decoration often found on long-necked vases with slightly flared mouths. The vase has a well-proportioned and refined shape, making it a perfect small piece designed as a flower vase.
