此件方觥造型生動繁複，整體佈滿各式抽象化的鳥與獸紋，前部與提梁位置飾有鳥形構件，後足則可見纏繞於人體之上的蛇形裝飾。雖無銘文，但其造型與紋飾語彙顯示，極可能出自中國南方地區的青銅器工坊，所呈現的或許是一個充滿動態與變化的靈界景象。

標記

蓋內底附有數種標記與貼紙：

• 白底紅框長方形貼紙，書「K./No 266」

• 圓形白色貼紙，黑墨書「266」

• 蓋內底紅墨書「L.1707.B」

• 器身底部紅墨書字樣（重複標記）

作品解説

本作は、造形全体に多数の抽象化された鳥や獣が配され、前面および把手部分には鳥形装飾、後脚には蛇に巻き付かれた人像が施されている。銘文は存在しないが、その造形や文様語彙から、中国南方地域で製作された可能性が高い。全体は生命感に満ち、絶えず変化と運動を繰り返す霊的世界を表現しているかのようである。

標識

蓋の内底および器体底部に以下の標識とラベルが確認される：

• 白地赤枠の長方形ラベルに「K./No 266」

• 白地円形ラベルに黒インクで「266」

• 蓋内底に赤インクで「L.1707.B」

• 器体底部にも赤インク書き込み（重複標記）

Description

Ewer with design that incorporates many stylized birds and animals. No inscription.

Marks

• Stickers and painted inscription on bottom of lid read:

  • "K./No 266" (white sticker with red border)

  • "266" (round white sticker with black ink)

• Written in red ink on bottom of lid: "L.1707.B"

• Written in red ink on bottom of body

Label

This extraordinary vessel bristles with life, from the birds at the front and on the handles, to the humans wrapped in snakes on the back legs. Most likely made in southern China, it seems to offer a view of a spirit world in constant movement and flux.
