The base of the cup is inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark. Together with a small doucai foliate dish decorated with butterflies and lotus, with a hallmark on the base which may be translated as 'Made by the Master of the Bamboo Studio,' Daoguang period (1821-1850), and a doucai 'chrysanthemum medallion' bowl, with an apocryphal Yongzheng mark on the base, 19th century.

- A short firing crack that extends to a minute hairline to the mouth rim

- A few minuscule nicks to the mouth rim and foot rim

The dish:

- A few tiny chips to the mouth rim with expected wear to the gilding

- A few chips to the foot rim, some of which have been polished

- Some expected wear to the enamels

The bowl:

- In overall good condition

- With expected wear to enamels, there is a tiny polished chip to the foot rim
