When the demographics of buyers shift, the market transforms accordingly. Certain objects once overlooked by the international market can achieve outstanding results for unexpected reasons. These small cups, measuring around 9cm, are a prime example. Driven by the practical needs of tea appreciation, Chinese collectors have affectionately dubbed these 9–10cm cups “Jiu Wu Zhi Zun” (Supreme Master’s Cups). Although the name may sound somewhat whimsical, real-world auction results clearly reflect this prevailing taste and cultural preference.
